Bringing to life the incredible story of the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary

To raise awareness of the latest edition of the English Language Teaching course English File, a promotional video was created with a storytelling narrative that revolved around an English File course book taking an accidental around the world trip.

To help differentiate the creative and build out the key scenes of the narrative, actors were filmed against green screen and then composited into a stylized 3D CGI animated environment that acted as the bridge between scenes as the book was firstly left on a plane, train and finally a bus.

 

The actors in each scene would discover the book, pick it up and, glancing through the pages, talk about some of the key topics inside in a conversational manner with their travel companion. This brought a softer approach to demonstrating the content of the course whilst helping showcase the new material in the latest edition.
